The Kavtaradze tricolor's chest cavity was full of metastases…

When her breathing became even more labored, we let her go peacefully in her sleep …

She wasn't lucky; we tried, and on the last day of her life she was cared for.

Thank you for cheering her on 🙏🏻

The clinic bill for the X-ray and tests has been covered, as well as 1 day of inpatient care .

What more can we say.. it's emotionally heavy, but worse is the pain and suffering these animals go through without a home .

09.06.26 Update on the Kavtaradze tricolor kitty📣

We didn't expect cancer at all 😔

The kitty has a tumorous wound under her armpit (photo in the comments)
and fluid in the pleural cavity, which makes it hard for her to breathe..
We've drawn up a plan for now, but we only have 150 GEL in total, which came in today…

The kitty has been moved to a foster carer; she'll be on oxygen and get a strong antibiotic, and in three days they'll try to drain the fluid and remove the tumor.
Whether there are metastases is still to be determined.

A tissue biopsy is also needed, but without funds we can't manage all this 😭

We can't help but point out an important circumstance.

The kitty lived and suffered with this terrible wound in a yard where loads of people pass by and it's all apartment blocks around !
She was lucky that today one of our cat lovers, an active club member, saw her, because this is the reality :
Only a few notice and respond !
For the rest, it's simply “none of their business”

When not a single person takes responsibility for a living, domesticated creature, then the responsibility becomes collective; there's no other way in a civilized society.
